In this position, you will be a member of the Markit! Business Development Team.  This role will support our Regional Sales and Estimation staff on the administration of bid management, reviews, and proposals.

Location: Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Travel: 10 – 15%

Duties:

  • Review databases looking for potential bids.
  • Review RFPs and summarize response requirements, including development of a compliance matrix and proposal outline.
  • Develop a simple response plan that assigns writing assignments per the outline, defines response content by section, and establishes deadlines.
  • Work with the team to develop response content and track team progress based on the compliance matrix and proposal outline.
  • Manage the bid timeline, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain templates and tools that support efficient response to opportunities.
  • Utilize stock graphics to better communicate concepts, processes and workflows.
  • Review and edit content submitted by others.
  • Assess compliance with RFP requirements and clarity of message.
  • Participate in proposal review activities and meetings.
  • Assemble proposal for management review and final submission.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop timely responses to RFPs.
  • Support development for presentations, infographics, LinkedIn or related content, and support multimedia outreach efforts.
  • Manage company and employee business licenses; registering and renewing as needed.
  • Manage company bonding; requesting bid and performance bonds as needed, ensuring project bonds are sent to clients and closing out bonds upon project completion.
  • Complete data entry into CRM.
  • Other administrative duties as needed.

Preferred Background & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience as a marketing or proposal coordinator.
  • Knowledge of proposal development process.
  • Experience entering and maintaining data in CRM.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Illustrator, InDesign and/or related programs.
